Role Responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant Providing the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living. Responsibility for promoting our resident’s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers. Leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained, and other members of the team feel supported. About Orchard Court Care Home Orchard Court is located near the centre of Brigg. The home is set around a former coaching inn which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care including dementia care for 39 residents. Role Responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant Providing the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living. Responsibility for promoting our resident’s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers. Leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained, and other members of the team feel supported. Completing the daily medication rounds and document consistently without errors or any issues being picked up on the medication audits, ensuring the daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members on all shifts you’ll be responsible for leading. Promoting good practice in all aspects of care, and challenge poor practise from other team member. ensure one to ones for all care and support team members are done every two months and investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager. Role Requirements as a Senior Care Assistant Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ/Diploma minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care). Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in residential / nursing home setting. Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning. Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse. Reside within 30 minutes of the Home.
