HMP Perth houses a population of adult males. The population contains a proportion of individuals who have been placed on remand as well as those serving short term, long term or indeterminate sentences. We are a small, busy team composed of qualified Social Workers and Business Support. Our role is to provide a quality social work service to statutory prisoners. We also provide a Duty social work service that all prisoners can access. A significant element of our role within the prison is to assess and manage potential risks that individuals may pose at different stages in their sentences, as they pass through closed conditions and prepare for access to open conditions and/or release on Licence or a Supervised Release Order. We do this by way of providing reports to the Parole Board and attending Parole Oral Hearings. We also take part in multi-agency decision making forums such as: Risk Management Team (RMTs); Integrated Case Management (ICMs); Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA); and Programme Casework Management Board (PCMB). We work in partnership with the Scottish Prison Service and community social work agencies to support and manage all statutory offenders. A little about myself: I am a seven-year-old boy with Autism, GDD and Pica behaviours. I like to jump, bounce, climb, swim and run around. I have a LOT of energy. I really love the park. I need a kind, patient, and fast on their feet PA to take me out to have fun where I can be safe and burn off some energy. I have no awareness of danger, so you need to always hold my hand unless we are in a safe secure area. I put things in my mouth which don’t belong there. I need you to keep an eye on me so that I don’t accidentally choke on an object I have picked up and put in my mouth. Driver required to take me out. Hours of work: 4 hours a week 8 hours a week in school holidays Rate of pay: £13.50 Essential: I need you to: • Be fast, and able to keep up with me, because I am oblivious to danger, and quite impulsive. • Be patient and kind. • Be experienced in working with young people who have Autism and Pica.     Adult Dietitian-Band 5 We are seeking an enthusiastic dietitian to join our team at Croydon University Hospital. The Nutrition and Dietetic Department is welcoming, supportive and always seeking ways to improve. We provide an integrated service across Croydon Health Services, which provides expert dietetic care to areas including gastroenterology, paediatrics and the community. Our team have strong working relationships with medical, nursing and AHP colleagues to provide safe and effective patient care. You will be part of an acute team currently comprising of a band 7 acute lead dietitian, band 7 gastroenterology dietitian, a band 6 stroke dietitian, 2 band 5 dietitians and 2 dietetic assistants. The band 5 posts will include a caseload of general medical, endocrinology, respiratory, surgical and care of the elderly wards. The post holder will deliver a general outpatient clinic, deliver dietetic support to, run remote IBS sessions once a month. Clinical supervision, monthly journal club, in service monthly CPD is well established and we take placement 1, 2 and 3 students. Interview Date TBC As a band 5 dietitian, you would play a key role. The role will provide you the opportunity to provide Dietetic services in different areas, including medical and elderly wards and clinical areas of gastroenterology, renal, diabetes, cardiology, haematology, oncology, gynaecology and urology. The post holder will also be involved in delivering group sessions including maternity healthy weight group and IBS. The post holder will liaise, support, inform and work with the multidisciplinary team for elderly care, GPs, practice nurses, district nurses. Integral to the role would be to formulate, deliver and review individual dietetic treatment plans for patients based on evidence based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of a wide range of dietetic treatments. The post holder would be encouraged and guided to maintain their portfolio by self directed learning, reflective practice and CPD sessions and opportunities. This is a 10 month fixed term post, where cover is needed until October 2026. This is covering a career break. The Trust delivers training as part of the North School of Psychiatry, East Midlands Healthcare Workforce Deanery. The Head of School for Health Education East Midlands is Dr Debasis Das. The Trust’s Director of Medical Education is Dr Kehinde Junaid, responsible for the delivery of education to doctors at all levels. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. In-patient work will be on Redwood 1 ward, a 16 bed adult male ward, at Highbury Hospital, Bulwell, Nottingham. The CMHT work willcover the Nottingham City Central LMHT Team, which is also based at Highbury hospital. This will include assessment , treatment and ongoing management of existing patients on the team’s caseload.
