E.g. giving one to one sessions , reading , arranging days out and social events. • Make and change beds, tidy rooms, do light cleaning and empty commodes. • Dress the table for meal times and supporting residents that require assistance with meals 1:1 basis. Serve meals to residents and complete all tea trolley tasks. Offer residents and visitors refreshments throughout the day. • Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door, and the telephone: • Receive, record and communicate information and messages in accordance with the home’s procedures. • Maintain all residents’ records and give written / verbal reports, whilst ensuring confidentiality • Take part in staff and residents’ meetings and in training activities as required. All training/ Mandatory training needs to be adhered too in a specific timeframe that will be given when training has been assigned too. Failure to complete training in specific time given will result in being taken off rota until training has been completed. • Complete Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care or the equivalent • Attend and participate in regular formal supervision and appraisal sessions. • Be aware of and adhere to Five Stacks policies and procedures. • At all times be aware of the security of the building in relation to residents and staff safety, In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed; the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the manager from time to time.
