We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Manager to join the leadership team within the Long Term and Specialist Services portfolio. This diverse portfolio covers Community Nursing and Specialist Services, offering a busy and varied environment. You will play a key role in overseeing administration services and leading the Health and Social Care Coordinator teams across Ashford and Canterbury, ensuring effective workforce coordination, service delivery, and performance management. The role involves working closely with the Head of Service, Assistant Director and wider senior leadership team to support service development and continuous improvement. The role is based from home, offering flexible working arrangements. The postholder must be able to travel independently and attend key sites across Kent and Medway on a regular basis to meet service and operational requirements. You will be confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and able to manage, influence and develop teams effectively. Previous project management experience is desirable, and knowledge of QSIR tools and methodologies would be advantageous. Strong analytical capability is essential, including experience in extracting, manipulating and interpreting data. Advanced IT skills are required, with working knowledge of systems such as SQL, Rio, Datix and HealthRoster. You will bring creativity to problem-solving and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for innovation, collaboration and efficiency. The key responsibility of the role will be to identify and manage the delivery of financial savings and efficiencies within clinical areas. This will include product trails and switches, key supplier relationship management, and commercial contract management. The successful candidate will have expeience of working within both a commercial and clinical environment with stronmg knowledge of a lareg range of clinical products. You will work as part of the management team and be responsible for the operational function coordinating the diagnostic and screening pathways for patients. The programme manager will provide support in developing sufficiently effective patient centred service in conjunction with the Lead SSP. This role will be responsible for the management of the Bowel Cancer Programme in the service delivery of the Bowel Cancer Screening for East Kent Hospitals. A key function of this role will be to provide the line management of a Supervisor who manages 5 administrators based across different sites and provide line management to the Quality Manager. A key expectation of the post-holder is the application of best practices to ensure consistency of operation across all administrative areas. You will provide comprehensive and effective monitoring and validation of information required for the BCSP National Office and produce audits and reports as and when required. This person will manage demand and capacity for the Bowel Cancer Screening centre and resolve or escalate any other service delivery issues. You will take a strategic lead with regard to the East Kent Screening Programme and to lead future developments.As a member of the management teams, to be involved in long term planning of future developments within the screening programme, for example, capacity planning and costing for the Screening Programme. The post holder will prepare and assist in business planning and developing business cases for the financial resources to ensure the East Kent screening centre is fit for purpose. You will be actively involved in service improvement programmes to streamline the patient pathway and improve the quality of patient care. You will also support and coordinate on strategic plans for services. The emphasis of this post will be on Screening and Specialist Screening out-patient bookings, following patients through the diagnostic and cancer pathways.
